The day begins with a gentle introduction to glass fusing and a demonstration. No prior experience is required and you will be shown how to use the tools safely.  Numbers are limited to 6, so I can help and advise as required.  It also means there is plenty of space for everyone too.

 

Making a decorative wall plaque gives you the opportunity to let your imagination flow and make a statement piece, which can be attached to a candle holder later, should you wish. There are a wide range of glass colours to choose from and you can experiment with chips, beads, glass strings and copper wire.  Embellishments can include hole punch designs used with copper and glass paper.  A myriad of choices makes it easy to create something uniquely yours,  However, if you are unsure of your creative ability, there are examples you can follow.    

 

At the jewellery workshop you have the opportunity to make necklaces, earrings, cuff-links and brooches. In addition to a wide variety of glass there will also be some stunning, sparkly glass available that you can use to take your jewellery to another level, turning it into something very special indeed.  There will be examples for you to copy or you may prefer to check out the glass available and be inspired by what you see.

 

The Christmas workshops focus on tree decorations: glass wreaths, icicles, miniature trees and/or a festive night-light or t-light holder.
